It requires a short hike through Charleston’s historic neighborhoods just outside of the typical tourist destinations, but definitely worth the trip. No reserved parking exists, but there are usually open spots on the street and I'd recommend calling ahead for pick up.

Dave's is open till about four a.m. (awesome) and consistently produces fresh, delicious fried seafood as well as weekly specials, like turkey wings, beef stew and collard greens. The kitchen is brand new since Dave's recently relocated from Rutledge Avenue, and the cleanest in Downtown Charleston. Dave’s has been in operation for at least six years and has never disappointed. So, if you don’t mind walking into a transitioning part of town, Dave's Seafood should be on your list of necessary local spots to visit.

Dave’s Carry-out
42 Morris Street
(843)577-7943
Lunch Tuesday-Friday 11:30
Dinner Tuesday-Saturday 6:00
